¡Que Chimba!

Esta seré un corto blogpost…porque seré (ojalá) en español. Mi maestras de español dijo es importante a practicar español mucho especialmente en 4 formas: hablar, escuchar, leer, escribir.

Es mi principal blog en español!

Si, gogglereflections.com es blog sobre esta nadando y esta blogpost tal vez un estiramiento sobre nadando pero yo creo que poder hacerlo.

Shannon y yo visitamos a Medellín por un mes a estudiamos español y ver a país nuevo en medio de Octubre a medio de Noviembre. Casualmente fue también durante el elecciones de estado unidos. No necesito estar en estado unido entonces 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Medellin es gran ciudad en la Aburrá Valle con a populacion alredador 4 millones personas mas y menos.  El cuidad es muy naturaleza y verde. Nos quedamos un bonito apartamento en la colinas sobre 20th piso con gran vistas a Medellin. 

La escuela fue a 15-20 minuto caminar nuestro apartamento. Cuando estábamos caminando a escuela es como caminando en el selva. Mi hija, Courtney encuentro nuestras escuela-Total Spanish. 

Clase era 9:00am-1:00pm cada dia con un 20 minuto descansar.  Afortunadamente Shannon y yo éramos en clases diferente 😳. El personas y maestras y estudiantes a Total Spanish fue fantástico! Nos gustó mucho! Mi maestra fue Estefanía y ella es muy, muy paciente y indulgente. Un dia yo no conjugué el verbos; pedir, perder, poder y poner en el indefinido para el vida a me-omg! 

Después clase la escuela tuvo recorridos para el estudiantes. Maestra Elisabeth fue la guía por muchos recorridos pero me gusta Comuna 13 el mejor. La historia de Medellin y Comuna 13 es interesante y violenta y Elisabeth dijo la historia bueno. Fuimos también un partido de futbol un noche en la gran estadio-divertido.

Cada semana la escuela ofreció clases de bailar que salsa y bachata.  Cindy dijo, “Bob es el mejor bailarín en todo escuela!” 💃🏻.

Hubo intercambios cada semana a Bar Vinstrash a donde practicamos nuestros español con otra estudiantes alredador Medellin. Me gusta también.

Actualmente tenía dos maestras de español en Medellin. Estefania con Total Spanish y Andres. Andres fue mi maestro paisa! Cada dia yo pedí a Andres por a frasa o palabra sucio o inapropiado. Me gusta mi amigo Andres.

Vale-esta parte sobre nadando! Un día después clase yo encuentré una piscina. Es un poco lejos nuestros a apartamento entonces usarlo una vez. La piscina es bueno-ish y no ocupado. Yo nadó por 2500m solamente-no mucho. Hubo la gran piscina a lado mi piscina pero el equipo de waterpolo usarlo.

Sobre dos fin de semanas diferente Shannon y yo viajamos otra lugares.  

Primero arriba Bogotá. Bogotá es capital cuidad de Colombia con un populacion 14 millones personas. El elevación es muy alto 2600m (8600feet) encima nivel el mar. Dos actividades yo recuerdo mejor. Primero un recorrido de Bogotá via bici. Es un poco locura estábamos montando bicis en la trafico calles.  Vimos lugares interesante en la cuidad y aprendemos sobre la historia de Colombia y Bogotá. 

La otra actividad que fue memorable fuimos  senderisimo a Monserrate. Monserrate es un iglesia alto encima Bogotá para pelegrinos hacer senderisimo. El paseo es muy empinado y estaba lloviendo! El cumbre fue 3150m (10,340 feet). Es divertido con muchos personas de tamamos y abilidades.

El otra fin de semana viajar fue a Jardin. Jardin es 2 horas conducir a Medellin en la zona de cafe. El pueblo es muy bonita con plaza mayor con a iglesia en el medio. Jardin es tranquil! Nos gustan buscando la gente.

Encuentré a otra piscina cerca nuestro hotel. Olvidé mi goggles y muchos personas estaba jugando en el agua entonces yo no nadar mucho. Está bien…otra piscina para mi lista. 

Lo mas destacado fuimos excursion a Cueva del Esplendor. Estaba un otra senderisimo en la selva. El final a camineta estaba la cueva y cascada. Nosotros saltamos en la agua muy frio. 

Jardin es agradable descanso entre ciudades como Medellin y Bogotá 

Nuestro experiencia en Colombia es muy especial. Aprendimos mucho español, conocimos nueva amigos y inmerso nuestros en a cultura nuevo. 

Medellin y Colombia es que chimba! Regresamos a Colombia una dia!

This will be a short blogpost… because it will be (hopefully) in Spanish. My Spanish teachers said it is important to practice Spanish a lot especially in 4 ways: speak, listen, read, write.

Yes, Goggle Reflections is a blog about swimming and this blogpost maybe a stretch about swimming but I think I can do it

Shannon and I visited Medellín for a month to study Spanish and see a new country in mid-October to mid-November. Coincidentally, it was also during the United States elections. I don’t need to be in the United States then 🤷🏼‍♂️.

Medellin is a large city in the Aburrá Valley with a population of around 4 million people more and less. The city is very natural and green. We stayed in a nice apartment in the hills on the 20th floor with great views of Medellin. The school was 15-20 minutes walk from our apartment. When we were walking to school it’s like walking in the jungle. My daughter, Courtney found our school-Total Spanish.

Class was 9:00am-1:00pm every day with a 20-minute rest. Fortunately Shannon and I were in different classes 😳. The people and teachers and students at Total Spanish was fantastic! We liked it a lot! My teacher was Estefanía and she is very, very patient and lenient. One day I did not conjugate the verbs; ask, lose, power and put in the indefinite for life to me-omg!

After class, the school had tours for the students. Teacher Elisabeth was the guide for many tours but I like Communa 13 the best. The story of Medellin and Communa 13 is interesting and violent and Elisabeth said good. We also went to a soccer game one night in the big stadium-fun.

Every week the school offered dance classes that sala and bachata. Cindy said, “Bob is the best dancer in the whole school!” 💃🏻. We had to exchange every week to Bar Vinstrash where we practiced our Spanish with other students in the Medellin area. I like it too.

I currently had two Spanish teachers in Medellin. Estefania with Total Spanish and Andres. Andres was my paisa teacher! Every day I asked Andres for a dirty or inappropriate phrase or word. I like my friend Andres.

Okay, this part of swimming! One day after class I find a pool. It’s a little far our apartment then it was once. The pool is good-ish and not occupied. I swam for 2500m only-not much. There was the big pool next to my pool but the water polo team used it.

About two different weekends Shannon and I traveled to other places.

First up Bogotá. Bogotá is the capital city of Colombia with a population of 14 million people. The elevation is very high 2600m (8600 feet) above sea level. Two activities I remember better. First a tour of Bogotá by bike. It’s a little crazy we were riding bikes in the traffic streets. We saw interesting places in the city and learned about the history of Colombia and Bogotá.

The other activity that was memorable we went to Monserrate. Monserrate is a high church above Bogotá for pilgrims to hike. The walk is very steep and it was raining! The summit was 3150m (10,340 feet). It’s fun with many people of sizes and skills.

The other weekend I traveled to Jardin. Jardin is 2 hours drive to Medellin in the cafe area. The town is very beautiful with a main square with a church in the middle. Garden is quiet! We like looking for people.

I found another pool near our hotel. I forgot my goggles and many people were playing in the water so I didn’t swim much. It’s okay… another pool for my list.

The highlight was an excursion to Cueva del Esplendor. Another hiking trail in the jungle. At the end of the walk was the cave and waterfall. We jumped into the very cold water.

Jardin is pleasant rest beautiful of big cities and Medellin and Bogotá

Our experience in Colombia is very special. We learned a lot of Spanish, met new friends and immersed ourselves in a new culture.

Medellin and Colombia is that chimba!
